It is made of a hard cardboard with metal trims & black plastic handle. One of the ends has a wire mesh type section for fresh air and light and when poochie or kitty is stressed and/or overtired, a leathery type shade comes down and can be snapped in place.  It is in used condition, as you can see from the photos.. some general surface scratches and tarnish to the metal parts. It has a "United" airlines sticker on the top.  It is very solid, however, and not soiled inside. Measurements include 11.5" tall and 14.25" when the handle is included. 16" long and 9" wide. It weighs about 3.5 lbs.
