The president elect stated in a press conference that the new first pet must be hypoallergenic. So what is a hypoallergenic dog breed?
Hypoallergenic dog breeds are breeds that, for various reasons, might produce fewer reactions in people who suffer from allergies. It most be noted that no breed is 100% allergen free or hypoallergenic.
With this in mind, below are the possible dog breeds for the first family. However there is an obstacle on the way which the President Elect eluded to. Most shelter dogs are mixed breeds so how do they balance their desire for a shelter dog with the health issue of one of the Obama girls?
