T-Bear
He was a small white dog that came from a very abusive home. My sister gave him to me when he was around 6 or so . He was from a abusive neighbor near my sister. T-Bear was ready to give and receive love when I got him. He had never known what love ever was. He would not eat a thing while I was gone off to school in the days. But when I came home in the evening he would light up all over. He would not let anyone smack at me or even pretend to be hitting around on someone he would be trying to protect me even in times of pretend fighting. This was his way of living for so long you see. He came from a home of fighting and verbal abuse .He was such my best friend. He died within about 8 months of getting him, from a type of worm infection that we did not know he had until it was too late to treat him. He was gone almost as soon as we all learned to love him and got close to him. I came home from school one day and noticed that T-Bear wasn't around anywhere, so I asked mom where he was and she just looked at me. Then I knew that he never came home from the vets office that day. He died the day after we took him to be treated. I was crushed. He was my biggest happiness. My closet friend . He was born into cruelty and died too soon after he found the loving friend and family that he deserved. Years have long past since that lonely day. But I never forget T-Bear. He is buried on my mom and dads farm with all of our other pets that have passed on. He has roses and a walnut tree nearby and the sun shines all day in the "doggy Graveyard" as we all call it at home. My mom and dad sure got attached to the pets they had. There are even gravestones that my dad hand made to remember them by. Pets bring us companionship and happiness in their short lives, and when the time comes for them to go to rest forever the grief is too real and hurts very deeply. I miss you T-Bear and love you more than yesterday...If tomorrow never comes for your pet, would you have regrets of what you wish you would have done while they were here? Love your pets like each day is the last, because one day it will be... In memory of T-Bear...my best friend.........
